Other Side Family Lounge - Stettler

I've been here a few times now and the food is good as is the service. I popped over at 4pm and ordered a cup of soup (Tomato Bacon , small Greek Salad and Dry Ribs which was their special at 50% off. I knew it was too much food for me but assumed I could take whatever I didn't eat of the ribs home. The soup came first and was wonderful but when the waitress set down the salad and ribs, she told me I couldn't take any left over ribs home with me because they were the special. I ate as much as I could and when she brought the bill, I asked what would happen to the rest. She said they go in the garbage and I told her that I thought that was not right as we humans throw far too much food away. I told her she should have told me I couldn't take leftover ribs home when I ordered so I could have made a decision on what I was going to order with that in mind. (I would not have ordered the soup. There are white ant traps in corners of the room which brings to attention an ant problem. I'd suggest that they use Ortho Ant Bgon Max instead and nobody would see those unsightly traps. Their ant issue would be quickly resolved. Will I come back? Probably...but not being allowed to take my leftover ribs home has left a bad taste in mouth.

We have eaten here a number of times and have yet to be disappointed by their food or service. It's typical pub-type faire, but it is fresh and there is a lot of choice on the menu. The waitresses in both the lounge and restaurant side are very friendly. Also, the new patio is terrific.

We ate at the restaurant twice on the weekend. The service was great, the meals were very good and portions were a perfect size for our hungry young men. The staff worked very hard and kindly to accommodate our families and hockey team. We were very happy with the overall restaurant. Thank you Kat and the other staff for making our time in Stettler very pleasurable and tasty. We also enjoyed your quick wit and sense of humor.

We were in town for a hockey tournament and came to The Other Side for dinner with our whole team. They were more than accommodating with our team of 40 people and even kept the restaurant open late so they could feed us all. The food was very good and came out really quick. Our server Kat was so friendly and accommodating of such a big group. I would highly recommend this restaurant

We took our family here to eat, nothing for the kids to do while waiting for food. Food arrives, there is a long coarse hair in the vegetables. I had to take my plate up to the counter because the waitress was nowhere to be found. When someone finally showed up, I asked for my meal to be taken off the bill as there wouldn't be enough time for me to eat before everyone else was done and I wasn't interested in more food after what was found the first time. The waitress comes over 10 minutes later and tells me that the meal will still be charged to the bill because the manager wouldn't reimburse me, but that she would give me a discount. Terrible service, even worse food. Save yourself the money and time, go anywhere else.
