Very lucky to have this restaurant recommended by some of the locals. Great food and such a beautiful setting in the heart of downtown Savannah. And, a big thank you to James our server who surely made our experience even more memorable. From his conversation to helping us select the right dishes to order. Note: Recommend making a reservation in advance for dinner.
Marvelous experience! Had dinner at Circa 1875 on our first night in Savannah. The Caesar salad was excellent. Very light dressing, which I love with a hint of sea salt and pepper and anchovies (not fishy at all). I ordered the frog legs (a special tonight) which was my first time. When in Rome right?! They were good, not gamey or fishy. Kind of like a tender chicken. Seasoning was spicy. Profiterole for dessert was perfection. Ice cream was homemade. We'd absolutely go back.
Incredibly underwhelming. We showed up without reservations and were seated right away due to a table cancelling which was awesome. We were sat downstairs where Emily was our waitress. She was sweet but spoke way too fast and we had no idea what she was saying. According to the reviews, the steak tartare was ?phenomenal? and what I got was a raw burger. (I?ve lived in France so I know a good tartare when I see it). We both ordered the swordfish and even though it was cooked
