Tree House Café - Salt Spring Island

We have gone back to the Tree House cafe twice during our four night stay and loved everything. Lunch was spectacular and breakfast, PHENOMENAL. The seed toast is what dreams are made of. The wait staff is attentive and kept our waters full the entirety of both visits. For breakfast our party of three ordered the same thing, the basic breakfast, with me deviating from their sausage orders and getting bacon. I can say that I messed up because the maple sausage taste I was given was spectacular. Next time I will be ordering breakfast with the sausage. The home fries/potatoes are out of this World. For our lunch visit my daughter and I split the lamb burger and added a side salad. Absolutely wonderful meal. My husband ordered the cheeseburger and remarked that it was the first time he’d ever felt good after eating a cheeseburger. They definitely work some magic on their food at the Tree House. We will be back again and again when we return to SSI. Great food. Great prices, lovely atmosphere and great service. Who could ask for more?

Excellent service, delicious food, (tree to burger and grilled chicken sandwiches) the lemonade had refreshing mint in it a fun atmosphere eating under a plum tree.

I have eaten here twice on Salt Spring Island. The menu has a great selection of foods and the service is great. Be prepared for a long wait, though, as it's a very popular restaurant. There are also bugs around the tables with it being so outdoors.

A small little restaurant that has a focus on healthy choices. Fabulous caesar salad! We enjoyed our salmon sandwich (6 oz) and halloumi wrap with local island cider and pino Gris. Service very friendly.

We visited on a weekday morning. The staff appeared to be composed of teenage girls who weren’t overly friendly. We were first told that we had entered the restaurant in the wrong entrance (watched this happen multiple times again with other groups- who cares? If it’s such an issue, put some clear signage up) then we sat for a long time waiting for service. The salads were very heavily dressed- almost to the point of being sent back, and expensive. Not a great experience.
