Cafe Embaixador - Porto

Es poco más que una casa de comida, pero come bien, rápido y barato. Me comí un francés que era muy bueno.

Le restaurant est très agréable mais j'ai commandé des crevettes les crevettes étaient froides et les frites avec un arrière-goût d'huile le reste de la famille a commandé de la viande et nous l'avons trouvé bon. Je ne le recommande pas si c'est de manger du poisson.

Large restaurant conveniently located near major tourist center and hop-off hop-on bus stop offers looks uninviting. But, it offers large portions at very good prices. Food is simple but cooked well and tasty. Don’t expect fancy sauces or seasonings but you will eat well here. Service was pleasant and attentive. We ate in the tableclothed area where table service is offered. Near the entrance is a more casual area. Wine, beer and a full bar are available, again at good prices.

This was my first meal in Porto, my goodness it was heaving at lunchtime and full of locals! A great sign. Despite bring so busy and packed I was served immediately by a sound waiter. Lovely cold beer and nice pasta. Plenty of options to be fair but once I saw the pastas I stopped looking at the rest! And it was lovely too! The menus are multi lingual and the water spojecEnglish. Very cheap, €6.15 for the food plus €2.20 for a large draught beer. Sure you ca't beat that!. A few steps off Placa de Liberdade. Its right by the McDonalds if you're looking for a landmark!

We just had coffee with nana tarts for a quick breakfast. The place is busy and seemed like it would be fun. Unfortunately, the coffee was ho-hum (though not bad) and the tarts nothing special either... especially if you have had the real thing in Belem.
