Bidrage med feedbackThis is a fun little spot where you can have a taste of the Deep South in North Bridge ! Pretty yum - and they even have chicken and waffles ???? the home potatoes are good and desserts look super divine !
Been here numerous times now and each time the food has been great! I have a gluten allergy and am vegetarian and there were still so many options! My bf is obsessed with their chicken and waffles!
We came to this place as a recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed love the cosy cabin feel and music. we ordered the cabin tray for $70 including drinks it was well worth it my hubby loved the brisket and i loved the ribs and fish, the mac was very good. the staff where very friendly and tentative, all in all lovely place will be back for the waffles.
I really wished the food was nicer because the staff were so lovely. The BBQ chicken was great, cocktails were quite nice, that was about it. The table was sticky, the place dark and dingey, glasses weren't polished properly, most of the food was a bit bland, generally the atmosphere was a bit dull too. With so much competition in the American BBQ genre, this place unfortunately misses the mark.
Smokey's Cabin is a new addition to the Perth BBQ scene and they certainly have tried hard to impress. We arrived on a freakishly cold day and immediately felt better when we stepped inside the "wood cabin". The waitstaff was warm, welcoming and lovely throughout the entire visit. We ordered the Cabin Tray for 2, which came with 2x 1/4 rack of pork ribs, 100g brisket, 1/4 smoked chicken, blackened fish, 2x corn cobs, mac 'n cheese, coleslaw & pickled cucumber. We also ordered extra serves of fried wingettes, Southern fried chicken breast and 100g pulled pork. The wingettes were our favourite dish as they were crispy on the outside, moist on the inside and the Cajun seasoning was divine. The meat tray came out looking fabulous as the glossy BBQ sauce on the pork ribs really made a statement. Luckily they tasted just as good as they looked, meatily and juicily falling off the bone. The blackened fish was also deliciously flaky and the generous bowl of mac 'n cheese had a super intense cheese flavour. Unfortunately everything else tasted rather bland, especially the smoked chicken, brisket & pulled pork. There was nothing quite memorable about the flavours and for $9.5 the only piece of fried chicken was definitely not worth it. All in all, the Cabin Tray was a good way to try everything but we would order separate proteins next time. hippokathy.weebly.com
