This place is unassuming, but the food is so good. We had the House Udon and Jung Bong...so tasty! Highly recommended if you are tired of fish and chips and clam chowder. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

The owner/chef took our order and made some recommendations. She was delightful and our dining experience was superb. Homemade dumplings with crispy edges with the dipping sauceYUM! Udon noodles with seafood, the broth full of layered flavors but it didn’t over power the fresh shrimp, scallops and calimari. The vegetables were tender not soggy and you slurp every drop from the bowl. The crispy chicken served on a beautiful bed of broccoli was crunchy yet the hand cut chicken inside was tender and full of flavor. The service was amazing and this is worth a trip to Newport! We got the jasmine tea, pork dumplings, pho, crispy garlic spicy chicken and noodle bread. the jasmine tea was amazing. the tea was hot and sweet and really good honestly. i never really liked teas much before, but this is one of the exceptions! the pork dumplings were lovely! they were well made and the sauce that came with them was spicy, but not too spicy to my liking. it was honestly really good! i highly recommend this dish! the pho was delicious! best tasting pho for sure! the broth was so nice and you’re able to add as much sauce as you’d like, which i also liked. the noodles are long and soft and really tasty! i highly recommend this dish as well! the crispy spicy garlic chicken wasn’t spicy too my liking, but it was still really good!! the chicken was cooked well and the crispiness was amazing as well, highly recommend! the sauce was also utterly delicious with the chicken, this is another dish that i highly recommend! the noodle bread was absolutely amazing! it was so sweet and just delicious! we got one with cinnamon and sugar and oh it was amazing! it kinda reminded me of carnival bread, like everything, i highly recommend this! now for the owner, oh she was a total sweetheart! she would sometimes come over and ask how everything is and was just the sweetest to us! she’s so kind and considerate. she’s always working her hardest and just being the utter sweetest women ever! i totally recommend this place to anyone in the Newport area!! I absolutely love this noodle shop and can’t appreciate enough of the amazing food and the warmest service I received from this restaurant in a tiny small coastal Oregon town. First the food is legit. High-quality and good flavors. Jung Bong is a must have and the seafood pancake. It’s one of the best seafood pancake I have had! Owner is super heartwarming. Did her best to accommodate me, and offered me to try their freshly made kimchi and some other preserved vegetables. Oh BOY did they taste good! Knowing that I’ll still be driving down the coast south on my summer roadtrip, the owner packed me more kimchi, and rice and her freshly-made yams. The owner told me about the history of this shop and the story behind her motivation in coming here to PNW to open an eastern Asian noodle shop. She ll also give you many travel advice on the local attractions.
