Nye Beach Cafe - Newport

This breakfast spot was a treat! Traditional morning fare, with some awesome Mexican options. Enjoyed a mezcal margarita and some super tasty chile rellenos. Pretty sure the tortillas are homemade. Definitely recommended.

AMAZING! This restaurant was right up my alley. They make their own sourdough and biscuits which are very delicious. We ate here twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch. Both times the food and service was fantastic. The first day we went was on a Sunday so it was busy but definitely worth the 30 minute wait. The entire staff are so friendly and professional. The food is fantastic. I honestly couldn't have eaten here my whole trip! It's great for families. The kids menu has basics like grilled cheese, pb& j ect but they also have a nice little breakfast burrito too. I had the breakfast sandwich which was so great. I'm a sucker for a breakfast sandwich especially on fresh baked bread. The bacon is delicious, eggs cooked perfectly. And the best part is that none of our food was greasy. My husband got the corn beef and hash which I'm not usually a fan of but wow! It was SO good! We also got the baked French toast which wasn't very sweet which we enjoyed. I'd definitely come back here multiple times! It was my favorite breakfast and lunch spot in Newport!

This place is GREAT! Place is always packed with a line waiting to get in. Tells you how great the food is. Very interesting menu with a strong Hispanic influence. It's definitely an original menu around these parts! I've heard the shrimp tacos are amazing. Haven't tried it yet, but I am excited to come back and try them out!

We waited over 30 minutes for soup. The cup of soup came with oyster crackers instead garlic bread. I guess I misread it. The bread came only with the bowl ? . I would have had to pay $2 for the bread. The cup of soup was $8 and bowl was $10. Not a deal breaker but they do not have an espresso machine.

We should have ate here when we first got to into Newport. Very clean, friendly, and the meal was perfect! Loved the in house baked sourdough!
