Julia's Ukrainian Restaurant - Matlock

Excellent diverse Polish/Eastern European fare. Kubassa, perogies, meat balls, holupchi, liver/bacon/onions, Can order combinations. Or takeout. Interesting European beers. Always anticipated by our family.

We were disappointed! The tables were not cleaned and she reluctantly wiped ours. The Ukrainian borscht was mediocre and watery. Even though there are not many lunch options in the area we won’t be going back.

Went to Julia's place for the first time on Valentines Day . Was a Monday I called to make a reservation, turns out she's closed Mondays, but insisted I come in regardless. Meal and service were outstanding.

The pan fried fish and homemade chips were amazing. Others in our group had the perogies dinner, goulash and cabbage rolls. All were very good!
