Bidrage med feedbackA great place to get some fish n' chips! Everyone was very satisfied with their meals. The wait staff were very kind and accommodating even though we arrived rather close to their closing time on a Saturday evening.
It's a nice place. Just don't go when it's busy or at supper time or when there's still an hour and a half before close. The can't serve you in a timely manner. The kitchen you see is always behind. The restaurant wasn't even half filled and we were told it will be closed before out food could be made an hour and a half....Nothing on this menu takes longer than 15 minutes to cook. A half empty establishment run by summer employed teenagers should be able cook a half portion of fish split it in half and call it 2 piece . If your thinking of a Wednesday afternoon early supper by all means go.It's really special when you're told the wait time is too long and you see some of the staff out back smoking.Could be alot better.. but it gets a meh.
Hotel restaurant. Very quaint. Beautiful lake view patio. Only 4 star on food as salad was served with extremely rusty lettuce. Complaint was met with hesitation and salad replaced with ,again, rusty lettuce. Should not be on the menu if no quality ingredients available.
Long day, looking for some good food and a beer. Found Seagulls. Nice view on the beach and pier. Good menu, don't usually order fish and chips, but so glad I did. Good portions. Cooked just right. And the tartar sauce is the best I have ever tasted. Yum yum.
When I called to make lunch reservations on the patio I was told they do not make reservations for the outside so I reserved a window table inside. When we arrived there were 3 or empty tables outside and no one waiting. I asked for a patio table and was told the waiting list has 5 ahead of us. I saw these tables were still empty so a man told us there were 10 waiting now. Where were these people? ....they were not in the hall when we came. The tables were clean so get the people seated if that`s the case. Not sure how they work this but obviously people reserved these tables yet I wasn`t allowed to. Secondly they had tables reserved inside but no table was reserved for us as I requested. The $8 borscht only had a few pieces of cabbage and one small potato not hearty but expensive for mainly liquid soup. The fish and chips was not great...the batter soggy underneath. A good batter should be light and crispy. I saw the lady with the long hair go and fill waters outside but I had to request my water to be replenished and showed her the chip on my glass. Server asked if I wanted a new glass. Perhaps good manager is needed here.
