Jokubas Cafe - Lahti

I discovered this restaurant through Happy Cow and I have to admit that I was initially underwhelmed by the appearance of the place. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the owner's friendliness and we struck up a conversation. I decided to order the pita falafel and was impressed to find out that he had made the bread himself. It turns out he is a seasoned cook with 30 years of experience and a true passion for his craft. The pita falafel I had was hands down the best I have ever tasted - made with fresh ingredients, flavorful seasoning, homemade falafels, and sauce. It was absolutely delicious and I highly recommend it. I heard that he may be closing this location to open a new restaurant in September or October, so it's best to check if the place is still open. Overall, everything this chef prepares is sure to be delicious. (Updated review as of 2017-07-26)

I have lived in Lahti for most of my life, but only recently discovered this restaurant. The owner is always incredibly friendly and creates dishes with a mix of exotic flavors that truly satisfy. I have tried several vegan sandwiches, juices, and meals here, and they have never disappointed me. I would give this place 5 stars if I could.
