Bastion - Kinsale

The best meal we had during our two weeks in Ireland and the best I’ve ever had! Our experience dining at Bastion was exemplary from the moment we arrived; front of house (Helen was warm and welcoming. Pierre gave information about each of our wines (two of our group opted for wine pairing and each beautifully prepared dish was presented with care and details of the components. Every dish was a joy and our time was unhurried. It was a pleasure to meet and hear from the chefs and end our meal with the best coffee I’d ever had. We have had prix fixe meals at other restaurants (and spent more and these past experiences cannot compare with this wonderful experience at Bastion. HIGHLY recommend!!

Absolutely wonderful! Loved everything about it. Went for our wedding anniversary and even had a toast drink as a celebration of our anniversary for us. Amazing staff and fantastic food. Will definitely return. A little gem.

Perfectly prepared appetizers, soup, dinner and dessert, with unique flavors that will leave you wanting to come back for dinner the next day. We were impressed by the carefully curated wine pairing with each course, served by experienced and attentive staff. All of this in an intimate setting, well priced for a Michelin starred restaurant. Make reservations in advance of your visit to Kinsale, and spring for the extra courses and wine pairing!

Phenomenal experience. One of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Ireland as someone who has lived here their whole life. Couldn’t fault anything. The staff were very knowledgeable, especially in regards to the wine pairings. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality foodie experience!
