City Barbeque - Columbus

I can't be too harsh. The food was not bad. But when you're in Oklahoma and have BBQ at two world-renowned smokehouses? Well, I'm sure for Columbus this great stuff! Like I said, it isn't bad. This place has good food bad service and they don’t listen my order is always incorrect and when ever I let them know my order is wrong I get the worst attitudes from the employees and manager if there was another location I would definitely go there. Staff needs to be replaced, they’re rude and have very nasty attitudes, also a lot of unorganized chaos constantly. everyone is always angry. Service: Take out

We ordered dinner on line. When we arrived, 10 min after it was supposed to be ready, I was told. It will be a few minutes. When I asked why it was late I received a huffy reply, it is just late . A minutes later they asked my name, and a few minutes later told me they did not have my order. In the background are cooks dancing behind the counter. I walked to my car, got my phone and showed them the order. When I returned the cooks were gone and one of the staff was trying to find them. The huffy counter person now said, are you sure you have your right name? Now getting frustrated, I said, we are both looking at my phone, with the order and the name, I don 't understand. After a few more minutes a nicer person came to my rescue and offered to make my order. 30 mins after my call in order was supposed to be ready I got my food. The food was the same amazing food that City BBQ has served me for years. That store has gone in the tank, very poorly managed, a staff that clearly does not want to be there, and customer service lacking in every way. I hope they get new management because this is the best BBQ in Ohio.

If you like smoked pork, beef, chicken, or turkey, you will likely find something to enjoy here. The sides are also quite good. And besides the fountain drinks, they have bottled soft and otherwise drinks from which you can choose. Use their app and earn points for free food! We had several sides and I had the Carolina gold pulled pork and sausage sandwich. In my opinion if you want to really taste that sauce you are going to have to ask for more on the side, because the smoked sausage taste overwhelms the other tastes. But it is good. Also, the low country BBQ is the best savory sauce. The atmosphere is noisy between music, talking, etc though they now have outside tables where it is quieter.

It was my first time going there. The Manager was very friendly and helpful. I really appreciated that!
