Very idyllic restaurant with historical flair. Very friendly service. Eat delicious. Great is the location in the forest right next to the natural theatre. Book it unconditionally if you want to dine here before a concert. Always like it. By the way, you also get warm food if you want lunch at 3:00. Perfect for a spontaneous return. Very nice playground next to the restaurant.

Very nice restaurant. Very good food. A wide range of dishes, drinks and sweets. The condition is very friendly. The ambience is great. In summer you can also sit outside. There is also a beautiful playground for the children. I really liked it.

On a visit to Bad Elster we recommended the forest source as a great restaurant for lunch. We have eaten outdoors because the weather still allowed. All in all, we ate well. From the tasty schnitzel with potato salad over crispy chicken breast with black noodles and Gorgonzola sauce and also a really big, slightly **** steak everything was satisfactory. In a forest restaurant we wouldn't have expected such a good menu. Positive for the little hunger.... There are also senior proportions here. Directly next to the outdoor area is a large playground. You can also sit here for longer with children. We still give only four stars because the ambience is somewhat dusty, or so does not fit the great food offer. It was weird.

Beautiful in every way! Great area, delicious food, super neat and a first-class service staff. The services were friendly and unobtrusive fast and attentive. Each empty glass was immediately cleared and each chair that was free was immediately placed properly again. Even with my special request, the waiter made various suggestions outside the map. Thank you for being there!
