Inn on The Blues - York Beach

Great location down town and walking to distance to the wedding we attended at the Bluffs. We lost power twice during our stay (and we proceeded to turn off heat in one room to eliminate it from happening again) and the televisions in our room did notwork. Hot water takes more then 5 mintues to turn on in shower. The staff is accessible by phone and is within walking distance.Doors are not secured.

The room was clean and comfortable, although the ceiling fan was very dusty. Can 't beat the location as you are steps away from the beach. When we arrived we checked in with the host at their restaurant on the first floor. I thought is was a little oddthere was no hotel office and when the restaurant closed their were no Hotel employees to be found. Although I assume therewas probably someone there somewhere.We visited in the off season,So we were able to find parking but there really was not adesignated lot. So you are basically trying to find spaces on the back roads behind the hotel.

The food was pretty good! i got the fried chicken sandwich with french fries. it was very good except the cheese on the sandwich wasn?t melted : also a bit pricey! however overall great!

Inn On The Blues is a great place to go for food, drink, beach views, people watching, and live music on summer weekends. There's not many gluten free options, if that matters to you, but the atmosphere, view, and drinks make up forit. For those without restrictions there are burgers, chicken sandwiches, fish tacos, salads, and more. All delicious.

Excellent location. We were on the 3rd floor and loved our balcony however you must know there is no elevator. You'll need to be in good health and fit to climb those stairs. Unfortunately even though the room was clean there were several maintenanceissues. No bedroom door on one of the two bedrooms. Screen busted out of the livingroom slider, screen door in the bedroomdidn't slide well, bathroom door knob loose, no batteries in the wall clock, 2 washcloths for 4 ppl, kitchen table leg neededtightening and the showerhead was cracked and leaking on the drywall. We fixed it best we could without tools. We didn't mindthe music on Monday and Tuesday nights but if you're an early to bed kind if person, don't stay here. All in all we reallyenjoyed our stay it was just the lack of maintenance that we didn't understand. When you pay so much, you expect better.
