Sonny's Tavern - Dover

I was next to the guy who just left a 1 star. He swore at the waitstaff and the bartender was respectful and cut him off. Clearly a retaliatory statement.

Sonny's is fantastic. We were there when the 1-star guy was rude to the staff. We've been at Sonny's uncountable times, and the staff have always been spectacular. Love them. Love the cocktails. Will absolutely be back. Service: 5 Recommended dishes: Coffee Talk

This is one of the great restaurant/bars that inhabit the Dover area. Although I sort of insult them by calling Sonny's a bar. It truly has that local friendly tavern feel. The food selection is varied and intelligent without having a 5 page menu. Creative cocktails allow you to enjoy drinking. Wish they had wines though. Explore what this tavern has to offer Dover without going on an expedition. Sonny's is wonderful! We joined my brother and his girlfriend for brunch last Sunday, as this is their neighborhood haunt. The location is in downtown Dover and looks like a blast in terms of the bar scene. Their brunch menu, while small, was creative and filled with unique options. My BLT, without lettuce, was filled with thick, crispy bacon and served on perfectly crisped bread. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and meals. Thumbs up to the bartender! I ordered a My Friend Dori which was blended well and tangy. We will definitely be back to try the dinner menu in the future. Price per person: $20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
