Royal Spice - Worthing

I first tried this restaurant on its opening day over 23 years ago, and I have been consistently impressed with the quality of the meals ever since. As someone who has visited many Indian/Pakistani restaurants over the past 55 years, I can confidently say that the dishes here are always delicious. The meat is of excellent quality, the rice dishes are subtly flavored and delightful, and I particularly enjoy their vegetable sag which is not commonly found at other local establishments. The staff are always willing to accommodate special requests, such as extra garlic. It's understandable that adjusting to the unique base gravy and spice mix of each restaurant can take some time, as they all have their own special recipes.

The curry was terrible. It was ordered and delivered promptly, but the taste was awful. The lamb madras tasted like boiled lamb in a thin tomato sauce with an overwhelming amount of uncooked chili powder. The garlic naan lacked any garlic flavor and everything else was bland. I spent a lot of money for what was supposed to be a treat and ended up very disappointed. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant.

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and we all enjoyed the meal. This was our first time ordering takeout from here and we were impressed. We had Lamb Rogan Josh, Chicken Jalfrezi, Chicken Korma, Garlic Naan, and Rice. Everything was perfect and ready on time. Highly recommend trying this place!

I don’t understand the few very poor reviews and would query their authenticity. I ordered from this restaurant on the very first day it opened and have never had a poor meal. Over the years, we have ordered from other Indian restaurants but always return to this one. Their food is almost always 100% with subtle to strong spicing levels depending on your preference. I always, always order a portion for “my freezer”. I use the free text comments box to request things like extra garlic or chilli and they have never missed an item from our orders and I’m talking probably a few hundred orders over the years! Once when I commented it was my birthday, they threw in some extras.

Brilliant food never had a bad one. great staff and delicious, delivery drivers very prompt and nice can't recommend them highly
