Karat Bistro - Wichita Falls

Just had brunch on Sunday with family visiting. The service was great. The floors were terribly sticky and dirty, we got there right after it opened. The potatoes with the breakfast items were awful, it was like eating potato chips. Some of the flowers inthe vase were dead and light music would be nice even when the DJ is not there. We love the atmosphere and the food is good.

I visited this bistro a week ago with 6 other people. Really cute stylish place. The waitress was also helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, several of our meals didn't live up to the same standard. Several of the items we requested were unavailable...surprising since we arrived at 7:15. I ordered the roasted beet salad with candied pecans, goat cheese, and pears.Unfortunately for those of us who ordered this, the salad arrived without candied pecans. When I asked I was told they were out,so when I asked they brought me raw un toasted pecans to add to the salad. Frankly, I think the candied pecan shortage shouldhave been mentioned at the time we ordered, as this was a crucial component. My beets were undercooked and the pear slices wereslightly crunchy. I also had the onion soup the flavor was excellent, but I found two bay leaves in my small cup of soup. Theduck egg rolls were bland. My friend ordered shrimp and grits She said the shrimp was good, but the grits were undercooked andshe didn't eat them. The group agreed that the cupcakes they had for dinner were very good. I do think this restaurant needs abit of fine tuning. It's a bit pricey to be delivering disappointing food.

The food quality at karat bar and bistro has gone down dramatically! This used to be one of my most favorite places to go for a lovely meal and quiet conversation. Now of course they are understaffed as is every restaurant but still the whole staff is unattentive and untrained. The poor woman who came in alone and sat at the table next to us didn't get waited on for over 30 minutes until I motioned to the waitress to help her. The table was not clean and she was left sitting there unattended for over 30 minutes. I The food at today's brunch was so greasy that I immediately got sick afterwards. The menu is unimaginative. Plus, they also close the entire restaurant from time to time on a Saturday of all days for private parties which could be rescheduled or moved to the adjacent room. The hollandaise sauce was not even yellow it was orange, and was not even what we ordered. We were so hungry though at that point we had to eat something. It took forever and was just saturated in grease. The little potatoes that are served at breakfast are tasteless little wafers that are fried so hard you can't even stomach them.I cannot recommend this restaurant as much as I would like to. It's one of the worst. Very sad. It is such a cute restaurant and such a wonderful location. It used to be so much better. Don't waste your time or money.

Why this place isn't packed every night is beyond me... I am here on business and have enjoyed several meals during my stay. Diverse menu and an overall good value. I already have my next 3 meals selected. Wait staff has been enjoyable to get to know.

Your website allowed me to make reservations for lunch at 11:00 am, Thursday march 31 (I received confirmation by email). However, when we arrived, the restaurant was closed, still the sign by the front door said open at 11am. This was extremely embarrassing with my guests, and then I receive an email asking me to review my visit. Your website needs to be updated with accurate information; this was a waste of time and disrespectful. My guests and I, with very limited time for lunch, had to start walking around trying to find a place to grab food.
