Dolphin Fish - Waveney

This is a plain and simple fish and chip cafe rather than a restaurant. It has a wide range of fish, pies, etc on offer and our fish was first class quality and very generous portions. No frills but good value and old fashioned in a good way!

The fish was delicious, the portion size was just right, the service was prompt and professional, and the staff were efficient. The restaurant was also easy to locate.

This restaurant is a hidden gem - clean, comfortable, and easily walkable from the South Beach promenade. I have visited twice this month and I can't believe I was the only one enjoying a sit-down meal away from the seagulls. The prices are great too - you must be mad not to give it a try. The chips are consistently nice every time I have been and I think it is probably the best chip shop in the area. The curry sauce is alright but I think other chip shops tend to do it better in my opinion. All in all, highly recommended!

Popped here today because of tripadvisor reviews and a local's recomendation. We had the £5.99 deal cod, chips, mushy peas or curry sauce, bread and butter and tea or coffee. The portion sizes are huge. Food was cooked fresh to order and was delicious. Wish we luved closer.
