Bidrage med feedbackBeautiful setting with panoramic sea views staff were friendly welcoming food was delicious reasonably priced. Only thing that could make this better is cocktails at the bar!
I have stayed at the hotel and enjoyed using both the bar food and the restaurant .. a great job by all. The food is veery good served by a very good and friendlky servers and bar staff .. well done to all concerned including the owner who gets struck in supporting the staff and ensuring the guests are satisfied and enjoying the experienve. well done. I have also booked to visit the restaurant now that I have moved in locally .. recomend for all and child (very) friendly
After a quick phone call we managed to book a table here at 2.30 with a request for a window table. We were not disappointed. The tables were layed beautiful. The waitors were very attentive. We ordered the Roast beef which melted in your mouth.Accompanied by lovely fresh vegetables.Cauliflower cheese and crispy roast potatoes. All served silver service..The desserts were presented beautifully too.Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here and as we are local will be visiting here again.Top Notch.
Sit by a window overlooking the sea, in a proper restaurant, where food is cooked to order, to your liking, at a table covered in a real tablecloth. Food is excellent, and there is no problem if you want just a starter and desert, or a starter and then another starter instead of a main, or even just a starter. I have multiple food allergies and they dealt with them happily and very competently, even coming back from the kitchen to check with me if there was any doubt about ingredients. Two menus, and no problem if you want to mix and match, and if you want a large meal then the main courses are large. We stay in Lowestoft a couple of times a year for a few days each time, and always eat here. Very highly recommended. Only snag is they are sometimes very busy, especially if the function room is in use, so it often pays to book. (They will then advise you of a good time to eat if they know they are going to be busy.
We have had an occasional meal at the Coast before which was quiet passable but stopped in for the Wednesday Senior 3 course meal this time . There was a set meal offering 2 choices for each course 1 Soup or pate 2. fish or risotto 3 ice cream or fruit salad. We all had vegetable soup, very bland, not sure what the vegetables were but as it was green maybe peas? The fish was like a frozen breaded concoction that had little resemblance to real fish, served with overcooked frozen peas. The risotto had little taste other than salt. How do you mess up a fruit salad? (90% apple) in a tasteless liquid . This was obviously a cheap, bland meal that someone had decided would suit seniors. I would avoid every going here again.
