Bidrage med feedbackDo Not Buy Coffee Here. This place has a great location, and their crepes are good for the price they're asking. The staff is wonderful, cheery, and helpful. However, do not buy coffee here. In addition to being more expensive than any of the other coffee joints on campus, they are by far the lowest in quality. Espresso shots are bitter and or burnt. Likely over-extracted, and the milk foaming is not done well.I'm unable to place fault here, as I do not know the training or materials used for the coffee making. However, the end product is far worse than any other coffee I've had in DC.
This place is hot garbage. They somehow messed up the drink and crepe order- even after I repeated it several times. They also took over 15 minutes to make one latte even though no one was in line ahead of me. I will not be returning. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I literally flushed $20 on a latte and a crepe that I couldn’t even eat because they botched the order.
If I could leave less than 1 star I would. Only thing good here was the chai latte but I can’t have real milk and they mixed up my order with another. When I went to excuse myself in between customers to ask which had the almond milk the cashier didn’t even pay attention to me. Another lady finally came up to ask if I needed anything and I told her I wasn’t sure which latte had almond milk, they both pointed to the wrong one. Terrible service especially if I wasn’t only lactose intolerant and had anaphylactic shock to milk. In addition, I got a quiche the first time I went, which was about $7, and I had to throw the whole thing away because there was so much pepper in it, it wasn’t edible.
We were delighted to spot this little cafe with an inviting outdoor patio, after finishing business at the Swiss Embassy across the street. We had a Belgian dark chocolate crêpe, which was délicieux. My son was happy to get an Orangina, which is hard to find in Washington DC. While the patio is very nice, I'd suggest they correct the menu board. It says crêpes sucrèes (but the correct spelling is sucrées). Also, it's July 2021 and the person who appeared to be the server wasn't wearing a mask. Not a great choice for working and breathing around other people and their food. The food itself was great though. And service was prompt.
This is our second trip to DC and we put this place on our MUST DO list. We were so impressed the first time that we had to come back. excellent food
