Bidrage med feedbackWe have booked 3 weeks in advance and a lot to our surprise, we only came to find a sign on the door that they were closed for the month august! we were very disappointed as this was a jubileee meal!
A wonderful foundation in the U-Street corridor. excellent food and service. very open kitchen concept where the cook can really see how its customers enjoy the meal. pastas are a standout, but the whole food was excellent on our visit. highly recommended, even if parking is sometimes problematic.
The personal was wonderful to receive us (and above all my vegetarian request) for our jubileee dinner. they went out of the way to make sure we don't have to order about what. we have learned a lot about the different weeping and how much love went to our eating. it's not stuffed. Laidback and they want to make sure they enjoy their eating!
Eating was not bad. but there was so little that we laughed loud when it arrived. the first cure of ravioli offered two very small pockets of pasta swimming on a huge empty plate. the main run of the skalopps was a mistender when they broke out the big square plate, I was grounded to see that there was literally only a tiny scallop in his midst. my roommate ordered the salmon that, when measured, was just over three square inches total. dessert was from most restaurants ' standards fine small, but it threw the size of the food we received. at $55 for a 3 cursor meal, I would expect more than two small pieces pasta and a single skalopp. Maybe. I'm inappropriate, but that was the worst price-performance ratio I paid in washington, dc in ten years. the quality of eating was good, but frankly, the boldness and greed of the chefs and restaurant managers insulting, and I would never recommend this restaurant to a friend.
From the time we arrived until the moment we left we were impressed with all aspects of Nonna's Kitchen. Chef Will is a kitchen superstar. His staff works hard to please in every aspect of the dining experience from beginning to departure. This is truly great food without the attitude. Recommended without qualification.
