Bidrage med feedbackStayed at the hotel and decided to try the restaurant for 1st night. I wanted someone light, yet healthier so I went with the chipotle shrimp with salsa and corn cake and went with a side of collard greens to round it out. Those collard greens looked a little different from what I cook myself and then I took a taste. Of my, they were perfect. A good bit of heat and that sauce. My my. I enjoyed the shrimp and the corn cake was okay. The salsa was a good balance to the heat of the shrimp. I am definitely going to get more greens before I leave for home.
Food is really good and there is terrific outdoor seating!!! It's truly an overlooked gem in the neighborhood!!!!
I didn't have the opportunity to dine here. I checked the stats online and everything said OPEN! Upon arriving, the hotel front desk receptionist (the restaurant is inside the hotel) said the restaurant was closed. Super disappointed and I wish I knew before driving all the way there.
Wasn't impressed at all. First thing I ordered was the calamari and I sent that back due to it being really salty. It had a really good taste to it but wasn't edible at all. Then I ordered the wings and tomato bisque soup. The wings were obviously old and were not fresh at all as they were chewy and not fresh. The best thing about the soup was the grilled cheese that came on the side. Soup itself was kinda bland. Needless to say we didn't even move forward with ordering entrees as it wasn't looking good so didn't even want to take the chance of ordering more food and not liking it.
My cousins and I visit during black restaurant week. Food was delicious!!!!! Yuka fries we had three servings. The atmosphere is lovely as well. Great for date night or chilling with the girls. I woke up the next morning contemplating should I take hubby and kids for lunch. Thing is I live almost a hour away. So, yes! It was that good.
