Stockton Fryer - Warrington

Amongst the worst fish chip and pease I have ever had….chewy fish, no way they were fresh. Disappointed to the point of writing this review….

This is the 2nd time in 2 weeks I have been for my tea at this fryer. Last week I just ordered chips and a carton of curry sauce. I live literally 4 minutes away in the car. I came home to slightly warm chips and boiling hot curry sauce. I was a little perplexed. Today I ordered just the chips. 4 minutes to get home in the car and again the chips were not hot. They were barely warm and very hard, like they were from much earlier on. I’ll never go there again. A waste of money. They went in the bin.

We have been using Stockton Fryer for a long time and were very disappointed with the food this evening! We spent £30 on our takeaway (Stockton Heath prices! and the majority of it has gone in the bin. The sweet sour chicken chicken was dry, tough and stringy, the chips were rock hard and inedible, the fried rice was cold, need I go on? We are extremely disappointed and should really be given a full refund. Stockton Heath prices demand Stockton Heath quality.

Without doubt the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had! Sweet and sour king prawns with chips. The batter had slimed off the prawns, the sauce looked radio active and was way too sweet and the chips were cold and actually hard, they’d clearly been fried hours before. I have used this place for years and it has always irritated me that when you order Chinese they put up the chips straight away on a warmer so they’re always luke warm at best by the time your food comes through and you get home. I did question this once and got a snotty reply. Would it be so hard to do the chips as soon as the meal is ready?! Needless to say the meal ended up in the bin tonight. I couldn’t be bothered taking it back because of the hassle I’d have got. Today was a new low though. I’ll never be using them again, so why bother leaving a review? Because I want to save other people’s money and don’t want them to have the same experience. Just go somewhere else, trust me it’ll be worth it!

Had chicken fried rice absolutely delicious enough for 2 going to give the salt and pepper chicken a go on Thursday xx
