Scanabecco - VERGATO

After hiking in the hills we stopped here for lunch. It is seriously the best pizza by far that I have ever had in Italy. The crust is thinner and cripier than most pizzas I've had and the sauce slightly sweeter. Place is family run and has pizzas named after family members. The menu is also bilingual (Italian English) which was helpful. The place is nicely decorated and the staff is super friendly. Only issue I had was their internet connection wasn't working so my credit card wouldn't go thru but luckily I had cash on me.

This family-run restaurant was a perfect find. The staff are charming, polite and welcoming. Over several visits, we ate dishes from each area of the menu. Everything we tried was delicious, great quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. The chef even makes his own bread and salamis. Generous portion size and good value for money. An impressive selection of grappa and quite honestly the best pizza we have ever eaten. We will definitely be back for more

After living in this area for more than 15 years, we finally visited this restaurant with local friends. What a great surprise the interior was bright and well furnished and the welcome was warm too. We ordered a variety of dishes for pasta to pizza and then deserts. Plus wines service was friendly and efficient. The dishes were absolutely super the pasta fresh home made and pizza hot and freshly cooked with plenty of topping. Prices were also reasonable too. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Quello che non ti aspetti e sei piacevolmente sorpreso. ci siamo fermati per un pranzo veloce senza pretese e invece abbiamo mangiato un piatto di piccole orecchie con vongole e boccioli di rapa dalle orecchie fatte in casa e eccellente fattura le vongole fresche e ben curate e la parte superiore di rappa ha funzionato correttamente, il tutto circondato da un servizio semplice ma super amichevole in un posto ben tenuto e pulito. un solo peccato venial il colore delle pareti. Giallo. Comunque torneremo a provare più piatti!
