La cocina AlmaViva - Tulum

One of the few places where service and quality are top level. the fillet is delicious and the research for good ingredients make the difference in my opinion.

I was on vacation for a week in Tulum with my family and we had dinner at La Cocina AlmaViva twice. As an Italian I try to avoid Italian restaurant abroad, as they usually fall short of expectations. AlmaViva proved to be the exception to the rule! They serve modern Italian food that perfectly blends local ingredients with Italian tradition to deliver the fresh flavors you want to experience in a Ocean town like Tulum. The location is perfect, a cosy environment in a vibrant little street surrounded by other restaurants and bars. But what makes AlmaViva a great restaurant is service, quick, professional, and delivered by super nice staff.

Absolutely fantastic food experience. Beautiful cool restaurant, Italian style menu. Truffle mushroom ravioli was sublime. Good wines both red and white. The best chocolate mousse I have ever tasted, and I have tasted a lot! If you are in Tulum this is definitely worth a visit.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the knowledgeable patrons (they recommended us a few romantic beaches to visit). Delicious cocktails selection not to be missed. A true hidden gem. Try the home made pasta e you'll come back the day after.
