Bidrage med feedbackEarlier in the summer, I visited Fromagerie des Basques. I got the cherry cheese tart and the lemon cheese tart. The tarts were fantastic. The cherry cheese tart was absolutely delicious. It had a great cherry flavour to it and the cheese also tasted quite nicely. The cherry portion, cheese, and the soft tart were nicely balanced and went very well together. The lemon cheese was also delicious. It had a very nice lemon flavour to it and the lemon flavour along with the cheese and the soft tart was very delicious. I really enjoyed eating both of these tarts a lot and I am very happy that I bought these tarts!
Discovered this place in advance via Yelp and sought it out. I had planned to get one of their sandwiches for lunch. However, when I arrived I saw that they had some amazing smelling smoked salmon. I opted for a package of salmon and loaf of sliced bread and some cheese to make a lunch. I also picked up some butter, jams, and a carrot muffin. Everything was outstanding. They have seating outside in front but it is noisy with cars traveling past. Across the street at their restaurant there are additional areas to eat near the trees in the back of that parking lot. I enjoyed everything so much that I returned the next day for more and got an assortment of there excellent muffins to bring home with me!
A must visit to a fantastic fromagerie/bakery with the best fresh cheese curds and a ton of gourmet and traditional food items. This is definitely an important stop while visiting the region of Bas Saint Laurent. Whether you think you know what cheese curds taste like, if you're from the states, you have never had fresh cheese curds that squeak like these do (squeakier is tastier). Get the ones made fresh that day and snack away. They are closest the exit. Not refrigerated and made same day. So many awesome gourmet and traditional offerings for gifts or your own tastings. Very clean facility with lots of gender neutral bathroom stalls. They have a restaurant across the street with lots of great options for lunch or dessert. Une fromagerie/boulangerie incontournable avec les meilleurs grains de fromage frais et un tas d'alimentation gourmand et traditionnel! Update: went back on our way home and bought MORE cheese curds, an apple pie with caramel, a maple sugar pie, some croissants (almond, strawberry-cream cheese, chocolate), a pain au fromage (layers of sandwich bread with egg salad, chicken salad, tuna salad, and ham salad with a veleveeta cheese like sauce frosting. Everything is fantastic (the pain au fromage's ham salad part was not my thing).
There is a cremerie even the walls of the restaurant Kwick kwick.... Youhou! Are you stupid part-time or full-time? History lived: September 12, 2017 closed soft cream for the summer season? It's 23 degree Celsius Summer lasts until September 21, read the calendar a little... We wake up a little! Broken customers will pass in front of the next time, but without stopping, it's over for us!
