Cantine d'Amours - TROIS-PISTOLES

Stopped in here on way back home (coming from out east).Quaint little diner in a small French town with a very comforting old fashion feel.Staff are welcoming (be forewarned as french is what is commonly spoken here). Menus are in FrenchGood old fashioned Quebecois food. Had a cheese burger and poutine w/ sauce merguez (spicy sauce) and it was really good!Service was quick and prices are reasonable to high for what it is.It was really the atmosphere that was something special. Locals, tourists all in a small diner having comfort food.Definitely want to go back again for that and try additional dishes!

Average food, horrible service, waiting 3 minutes in front of the cash register and being told “I’m coming” when you’re first in line, very ordinary. This was to carry our take out bag with no “thank you, see you next time” or smile.

The poutine was average, I have had much better elsewhere.

My favorite restaurant along the river, located next to the large church. They have a great snack menu with some specials and offer good value for money. Their homemade fries, sauce, and cheese are delicious. The Full burger, with fries inside, is a real treat! I give it a 10/10 and couldn't resist eating three in just six days. The service is fairly fast and the waitresses are friendly. This restaurant is definitely a favorite of mine and I highly recommend giving it a try! ??

Very clean, portions are very generous. Affordable prices and great hospitality. The only problem... the space is a bit noisy but it's worth the detour!
