Your run of the mill corner restaurant in a predominantly seasonal town. My partner and I came here for a quick bite and being that this place was literally 10 minutes from our Airbnb, we're glad we did. The portions of their food are ginormous. We ordered poutine and chicken drumsticks for our appetizers (which easily could've been an entree). Our main course were burgers and they were delicious. Greasy but delicious nonetheless. There isn't any much going for their decor but their food more than makes up for it. 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and a beer added up to $56 which is awesome. They do have a full service bar as well! Definitely stop by if you're in Indian Lake!
This restaurant is a good choice for a family dinner. And while it can be a bit pricey, it's well worth the visit. It boasts a well stocked bar, a great menue, friendly staff, and a truely welcoming ambiance that definitely all adds up to make it a unique Indian lake treasure that has become a staple of our family vacations for years.
My family and I stayed in the town of Indian Lake for a few nights on our way to Lake Placid. If you are looking for a good home cooked style meal, then this is your place to eat. The servers were very friendly and they also had a nice beer selection to choose from. We ordered the 1 pound of buffalo wings, and felt the wings were a little skinnier than we like. Other than that the fam really enjoyed the dinner. I ordered the absolute pasta dish and thought it came out very good. Some people mentioned they did not like the theme. We thought it was great being a small town restaurant and it felt very homely. If we are ever in the area we are definitely stopping here again. Sorry I never took pics of the food that night.
Solid food , interesting menu and friendly service. Best sit down restaurant in the area. John Miller does an excellent job with putting different items flavors from around the world on the menu. His homemade soups are the best! Awesome burgers. Check out the bar in the tavern. Very old and historic.
