Bidrage med feedbackTasty Cafe is a cozy vegetarian restaurant located in Thamarai Nagar, Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu 606601 (inside Ramana Towers). The restaurant recently moved to this location and is family-run, offering freshly prepared homemade dishes. The ambiance is quiet, warm, and friendly. In addition to traditional Indian dishes, they also serve Western favorites like pizza, pasta, omelets, and salads. Freshly pressed juices are available, and daily specials are offered. The restaurant prides itself on using fresh ingredients like homemade tomato sauce, yogurt, and jam, as well as filtered water in the kitchen. They also sell homemade products like yogurt, jam, bread, and cookies, along with local produce. Prices are very reasonable, especially considering the mostly Western clientele. I highly recommend Tasty Cafe as a hidden gem in the area.
This is a great spot to enjoy some fresh drinks and delicious meals while relaxing. The atmosphere is beautiful and the people are lovely.
Let's be honest with ourselves. You may have come to Thiruvannamalai in search of a guru or with the ambitious goal of achieving enlightenment. However, chances are slim that you will find the answers you seek among the 6 billion people in the world. But don't worry, I have a comforting suggestion for you – visit Wine Coffee, a family-run business near the Ashram owned by the lovely couple Manoharan and his wife. Their place offers delicious juices, pizzas, pasta, and great coffee. The cozy atmosphere, with newspapers neatly arranged and a friendly local cat greeting you, will make you feel right at home. The menu has a variety of options at affordable prices, so be sure to try everything. I personally visited twice a day during my stay at Sunshine Guest House nearby and can't recommend it enough. While enlightenment may be elusive, a visit to Tasty Café is a sure bet for a satisfying meal.
I went to this restaurant for dinner to have typical Indian dishes. But there was no available. The courts are likely to keep the foreigners who stay close to inns/home stays/apartments. The prices also seemed somewhat on the higher side, but should be cheaper for foreigners. It is located at 500 m on a cut road on the Tiruvannamalai-Chengam route near Govt Art College bus stop. It's 1km from Ramanashram.
