Jinky's Cafe - Thousand Oaks

Goodbye, Jinky. After 9 years, we're done. Phoned in an order, went down to get it only for the order, never been placed, waited another 30 min while we were in stock, and got home to find the order was wrong. Back to Jinky's only manager to argue with me about the refund. Inattentive and incompetent employees at ridiculous prices. Not anymore.

Since they opened, I came here and always liked the food and the staff. Happy hour is pretty good with specials, but the regular menu prices have gone up in the years. I was surprised to find a service fee of 3.95% on my account for increasing the minimum wage. I understand that the cost of business can be out of control, but simply paying people a barely viable wage on me is unacceptable. Why do you not only increase prices 25 cents over the board to make sure? I really want to stay here, but not only is it now 15 dollars for a simple burger, I need to have another 4% to keep you in business? It won't come back. Edit on 12/6. Had some friends in town who insisted that we go to late breakfast and see some football. I wanted to warn her. The TV behind the bar doesn't work yet. It's been over a year. The bartender poured 22 ounces of beers with about 3 inches of foam. 3 beers and three breakfast burgers was $75.00 The burgers were good, but almost $100 with the tip and you have employees who do not know how to pour drinks, your main TV does not work, and it seems zero management to ensure that the place runs smoothly. I understand it's a difficult time for restaurants, but $100 for what we get is just something I always say I shouldn't be spent. The 3.95 service fee to support minimum wage is the most disturbing me. 10/16/2022. Last time dinner here. $48 with a tip and this is the Turkish sandwich for $20. 5 tiny slices of Turkey and a pathetic amount of avocado. If you're the owner, you have to explain. You should be embarrassed to serve this for $20. We give this sort of chance, but I don't know how someone would expect us to come back if that's what we're getting all the time...

Amazing place for breakfast, brunch or dinner. Really cool bar and the lunches are really healthy and delicious. Extreme toddler friendly. Alan and team did a great job with the menu. Please return Mung beans and rice and the Tofu-Pita sandwich.

I ordered the most delicious Eggs Benedict. I was allowed to customize my order and pay more. Wonderful and very friendly? Staff!!

Breakfast this morning was Awesome! Outstanding Customer Service, Outstanding food. The Jinky?s Nitro Omelette was the best breakfast I have had in years, very spicy, very good. The personnel were Great, Fast and Friendly! And Great Coffee! Jinky?s seems to understand how important great customer service is to a great dining experience. We will be back, for sure!
