Porter's Steakhouse In Coll - sville

Many of my friends are back in Edwardsville for a class reunion this weekend. A few of us decided to go to lunch at Porter 's since we all remember it fondly from our high school days. I ordered a bowl of Lobster Bisque that I remembered as being so good. I was shocked when it arrived with it spilled all over the top of the bowl. The waitress did apologize and I did tell her no problem but then I put my spoon in only to find it to be very thin. There was not one piece of lobster in the soup! It was one of the worst lobster bisques I 've ever had and it was $11. Won 't be going back any time soon! Things just aren 't how they used to be but they sure are a lot more expensive!

It featured a perfectly cooked medium-rare, with a rich, beefy flavor that was complemented by a generous coating of cracked black pepper. Overall, Porter's Steakhouse delivers a memorable dining experience with high-quality steaks and attentive service. If you're a steak lover in the Collinsville area, it's definitely worth a visit.

This is really a review of happy hour at Porters. Happy hour is 4-6 with a bar menu that is very good. There were 7 of us celebrating my wife’s birthday. The service provided by Ken was outstanding, professional, friendly and he stayed on top of food orders, drinks, etc. we had the sliders, excellent; wings, ditto, tater tots, very good and excellent loaded nachos. We requested the carrot cake, maybe best we have ever had, as a birthday cake. They brought a huge slice with a candle which we all shared. Very nice evening, enjoyable food and drink, excellent service. Thank you Porters.

We were here for the rehearsal dinner of a wedding and the food and service was amazing. They were amazing with my toddler (she loved all the horses)

This is my favorite go-to. I recommend trying the pepper loin steak. I have never had a bad meal here and the service is exemplary
