Bidrage med feedbackAnother great Sunday lunch visit. Roast beef was tasty, cauliflower cheese was very cheesy, lovely! And red cabbage was a nice surprise as not too sweet as can be sometimes, good choice! ‘Special’ pigeon starter was not bad, maybe a touch too much beetroot purée and as that was cold the pigeon wasn’t that hot. But very tasty nonetheless! Staff attentive but not intrusive. Only down side was we were near the door and unfortunately a fair few people came through to use the facilities who were obviously born in a barn or oblivious to the fact that the cold air was blowing through. We did get up a few times to shut the doors, and the staff were kind enough to offer us another table. Well worth another visit, we need to try the weeknight menu!
This pub reopened in the summer and what a lovely pub it is! We sat in the bar area with the log burner which kept us warm! The bar staff were friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable! The menu looked good and we were tempted to order food but we didn’t as we will be back! A little gem in Suffolk!
Great food, great choices. Service with a smile. Dietary requirements catered for. Sat in a welcoming warm dining room beside an open fire.....what's not to like. We will return.
Went out of curiosity as it has been refurbished. Sadly the Bar area has completely lost us appeal very few tables narrow banquets and two ridiculously tall tables by the fire with high stools. For starters chop the legs off the tables and get 8 more covers 2 people came in and walked out as obvpiously didnt want to perch. Very pleasant ladies in the bar sadly dont sell Aspells cider!!!?? Dining room looked better and good to see it busy
Have visited twice, once for Sunday roast, and then our last evening before heading home. Both meals were superb, so tasty and freshly cooked food, 10/10, service was excellent, couldn’t do enough for us. Good beer, just a great experience, hope to revisit!
