Kings Head Public House

I had a delightful dining experience last night. The restaurant was bustling and had a great atmosphere. It was a pleasure to see the specials back on the menu. I will definitely be returning soon.

The caption on their website gives a possible clue We are currently serving a limited menu, please bear with us during this time. perhaps the original chef has moved on...? Basic food served up reasonably well typical for a pub suggest you lowere your expectations if basing it on their previous reputation The sooner they get a grip on their limited menu the better

Called in on the off chance onThursday 16 June for lunch. The place was fairly busy the surroundings pleasant and comfortable. Staff were helpful and very polite, good menu with daily specials. I had the oven roasted pork loin chop in mustard sauce the nicest pork chop I’ve had in a long time,fresh cabbage and new potatoes to accompany. My wife had the pasta in wild mushroom sauce and said it was excellent. The portions were generous and well balanced. We shall visit again when next in the area.

I happened to walk past this pub at lunchtime today and decided to pop in for a bite to eat. We all ordered burgers and chips, and everything was absolutely delicious!

The food was very mediocre. The fish was overcooked and took over an hour to be served, possibly being cooked for that entire time. There was no apology for the delay and no condiments were provided. I won't be returning to this restaurant.
