Bidrage med feedbackI love this place. The boss really outdated this year. The sauces for the Prime Rib (some kind of wine sauce and ham (wow this cherry sauce! were from this world. Wonderful food, gracious servers (every year I thank them for the work on Christmas so that people like me can eat and they can unambiguously say it is my pleasure. It used to be open for Sunday brunch, but not anymore. We've been on Christmas brunch for at least 4 years. My ONLY question is that the reception always appears distracted and a bit repulsive. I've never been earlier than 30 minutes after my reservation. One year they brought us a glass of champagne while we waited, which was quite gracious and appreciated. This year they told us that there would be a 10-15-minute waiting time (we knew that the light was as people before us were the 2pm to our 2:30 and still not sitting-front desk woman was not very apologetic. What's more irritating is that I had to check back with them after I saw another couple sitting up. 4 people at the reception then looked at us, started talking to each other when I went on to ask why we didn't sit and Viola, a table was ready. I don't think it's evil, just wildly confused. I'll be back next year because it's such a great experience when you sit down. Please play Christmas or jazz or some dinner or bring the piano player back!
I am ambivalent to recommend it. The ambience in the grill is beautiful. Fire burning in the fireplace was quite attractive. But for the price, food quality did not meet the expectations of a visit to the Ritz.
Our server, Josie, always makes our culinary experience great!
This was a Woww!! Event. The STL team did an amazing job for their thanksgiving buffet. Everything was world class, we will be back. John and Wendy
While the staff at the Ritz Carlton was top notch and the dining room very pretty and elegant, the breakfast buffet, overall was disappointing. It was an upgraded 'hotel breakfast ' with an omelet station and cooked to order waffles but not worth the $25 we payed. I have been to many Sunday brunch experiences at high end hotels and I guess, my expectations were not met. They had assorted small pastries that were rock hard...obviously not fresh. The mini chocolate croissants and sticky buns were not edible. The fruit was good. The omelet was good. The bacon and potatoes were okay. Obviously not freshly made and something you would see at a lower quality hotel.
