Bidrage med feedbackSean and Bobbie are not just magical. In view of these crazy COVID times, my wedding was significantly reduced and we were on the market for a small, private venue for dinner after my husband and my wedding ceremony. This place fits the bill in size and budget. The ambience was amazing, the staff were phenomenal and the people said the Steak medallions were the best steak they ever had. I also heard my guests say the cake was the best wedding cake they had, but I would go so far to say it's the best cake I ever had. Sean and Bobbie worked with my egg intolerance (not just for a wedding cake! and everything was beyond words. Thank you Sean and Bobbie for making our wedding dinner we will not forget soon!
WOW! I hosted the rehearsal dinner for my wedding at the Live Oak Cafe and the food really blew my socks off! The shrimp and grits were simply the best I have ever had, the steak was cooked to perfection, the pesto chicken pasta was to die for, and overall everything was delicious. I would say there was not one miss. Add that to the intimate atmosphere of a private party in a beautiful home converted to a restaurant space and it was fantastic. Sean is an excellent chef and I would recommend his food for any occasion!
Wow is the first word that comes to mind. Absolutely awesome food. Our first trip and I ordered pecan crusted trout and it was the best I've ever had. Check the photos, I uploaded a photo of the dish. This restaurant is located in a cozy renovated house. Best to call in a reservation. My wife ordered baked scallops au gratin and claimed it was the best she has ever eaten. We both had a mixed drink and they were not shy on the liquor. If you want a fabulous romantic dinner with your favorite person, I highly recommend. I would not recommend for small rambunctious children because you are dining in rooms and the tables are close to other diners.
My husband and I and four of our friends visited Live Oak Cafe last evening for dinner. The food was absolutely fabulous. Most of us had the Mediterranean Seafood Bake with chef's choice of seafood. We had the halibut. Delicious! The other orders (trout and eggplant appetizer) were just as wonderful. For dessert, we shared a Bailey's Infused Creme Brulee. The best take away though was one of the house's after dinner drinks a Lemon Cream Martini made to diners' taste. Danielle, you are a wonderful bartender! When we return, we hope to meet the chef!
Ummm yes just yes. For a traveler this place is a gem. Atmosphere...locals and tourist in a small southern coastal town. Small hole in the wall...check.(that 's a good thing) Started with Loco crab dip waitress recommended cali chili hot sauce with it ...done and done. Also, yes she has some Southern sass. I 'm the worst thing in the restaurant. The hotter it gets the hotter (attitude) I get. Noticed something different than the norm in a southern coastal town. They were serving thin rice wraps. So, I upped the anti and went with the Lemongrass Curry chicken with Jasmine rice. Didn 't look back. Loved it! Obviously doesn 't look like you can go wrong here. Venture our here and venture on the menu. You 'll have a great experience. Excellent food, drinks, and service.
