Taj Tandoori - Southampton

The food at this restaurant is fresh and superb! You can either order in advance or simply walk in. It's always delicious and the staff is very attentive. The recently refurbished decor is stylish. I highly recommend this place for the best food in the area. - Milton Rodrigues.

I have only visited this restaurant once but had a good experience. It is reasonably priced and the food tastes good. The chicken curry and tandoori roti were fresh and delicious. I will definitely visit again next time I am in Southampton.

Being from Manchester, I am spoiled for choice when it comes to authentic Indian cuisine. I have tried many upscale Indian restaurants in Southampton, but none have quite satisfied my standards. However, I recently discovered Taj Tandoori, a more casual diner-style eat-in or take-away restaurant. I was impressed by their large selection of kebabs, samosas, and curries. I ordered a kebab as a starter and a lamb curry as my main course, and I must say the food was delicious and authentic. The flavors and spices were perfectly balanced, and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. My dining companion and I were able to have two starters, two main courses, six naan breads, rice, and two cans of diet coke for just £11.99. I plan on returning this week and will be sure to take some pictures. If you find yourself in Southampton and craving a tasty curry, I highly recommend Taj Tandoori located behind the Polish shop at the bottom of St. Mary's Road. Cheers!
