Lots of personal touches which make your visit really quite special. The food was stunning. Beautifully presented and super tasty, with allot of choice that caters for all palettes. Best of all, the price, wow, very affordable. We will definitely be coming back and making regular visits from now on. Thank you for a lovely experience Junction Inn. We hands down give you a A
A very welcoming place and they had clearly spent money on refurbishing it. We went for a Sunday Roast which I was so looking forward to but the chicken was a major let down. How they think it is acceptable to give you about 1/5th of a chicken breast on a bone, which was a disgrace. The server pointed out it was a small roast which I get but compared to the amount of beef my friend had it was just very poor. Absolutely gutted as the food was so tasty but this has put me off the roast.
I have visited this restaurant three times now and I must say, Bethany is a wonderful and friendly bartender. She is very welcoming. The food at this place is top-notch every time. I have tried their curry night, Mexican night, and pizza, all of which were of fantastic quality. The white chocolate and pistachio ice cream was absolutely amazing! I am very impressed with this restaurant!
I have lived in Southampton for 11 years and in that time I have eaten at pretty much every pub/bar/restaurant there is here. I don’t know how a city of this size has such mediocre eateries. I live 10 minutes from Woodies so it has become my new local. It is without a doubt the best place to eat in the city. Not too “fancy”, very reasonably priced, the most friendly staff, the most attentive owner, the food is incredible, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and a good selection of drinks. Either they are doing something very right or everywhere else is doing something wrong.
We 've dropped in to try Woodies out twice now, once for a Sunday roast, and once for an evening meal together The good stuff: the rennovation inside is great, feels much fresher and more pleasant than it ever was in the past. The food is excellent, the Sunday lunch in particular was really, really good (and having the different size options is a good idea for varying appetites thoroughly enjoyed our dining experince both times. Staff and friendly and service fairly quick. Looking forward to seeing how things work in the summer when it 's an option to sit outside in that pub garden the spacious garden at the back was always a selling point of this place back in the day, hopefully they can make it work really well. The only 'even better if ' point I 'd make is the temperature; it 's an older period building which makes the place harder to keep warm I guess, and it can get a bit nippy on the coldest winter days wrap up warm if visitign in a cold snap (although there is a delightful wood burner which is great if you can get the table just in front of it very cosy then! Overall, really good first impressions and looking forward to trying out other things on the menu
