Village Squire South - South Elgin

Lovely outdoor seating that's cute and cozy! Server was fabulous and attentive! They have live music and I really like their berry nut salad and mushroom appetizer. We came late on a Sunday and were seated right away.

Have eaten here for years, have to say everyone's food was very good vs years ago when it was marginal or less. Keep doing what you're doing, Village Squire. Patrons; stop in and give it a try. Also our wait staff was awesome! Folks very friendly and accommodating. Ribs were great, Saganaki awesome, as was the pasta, burger, chicken sandwich and gyro. Good amount of food for the money. Yummy mashed potatoes, too!

The waitress was new, but very good. The food as usual was very good. Prices everywhere have gone up so much, I understand, but for 2 people with an appetizer and 2 entrees are more than 90.00, I realize I need to not go out so often. The atmosphere was ok, just busy.

One of the best burgers I’ve ever tasted. Great decor to go with the theme of the restaurant. Free popcorn while you wait. Our waitress Brielle was the best! She was working so hard for every table, she had a great attitude and served us very well! She should get a raise!

Interesting environment (indoors) Service wasn’t great. We were greeted by a unprofessional host. Waiter wasn’t too attentive. Food was horrible and took too long. I have never had such terrible pizza in my life. Fish and chips were equally tasteless and overly greasy. I had been wanting to visit the location for a while, but will not be returning. Response edit: The pizza dough was dry and stale. It also had too little cheese. Other customers have said the same thing in the reviews in the past and apparently you’ve changed nothing.
