Kotobuki Japanese - Smithtown

The food is great. The freshness of the sushi is superb, but getting uni on the weekend is near impossible. I am thrilled with the food, but the service is horrible. Not only is it a terror to get inside (no reservations with a huge line), but after you are seated I waited up to 45 minutes to receive our appetizers by finally snapping my fingers and yelling at the waiter who had forgotten us. I am not the only casualty of their service. I 've heard similar horror stories. Though the food is great, so if you have no other plans and are willing to be treated terribly...go.

I’ve been to sushi places all around long island and this place blows them out of the water. Freshest sushi with great service, a nice atmosphere...I dont go anywhere else, and neither should you.

The kotobuki is a top notch establishment. If you want quality sushi look no further. I recommend the sushi for two and for dessert fried green tea or red bean ice cream.

I have eaten sushi at many Japanese restaurants in NYC and on Long Island, and I must say that Kotobuki was by far the had best sushi that I have ever had. It was a very enjoying experience for me and my girlfriend, who by the way never had sushi before that day, and she loved it. Thank you for the great experience, and I will be back for more!

WOW The food was outstanding The 4 chefs even remember you with a big Hello and Thank you They even had a jazz horn player who could really play and we still heard our friends talking to us WOW what a cool place Thank you.
