Leslie's Diner - Skibbereen

Fantastic haddock and chips, my partner had medium steak cooked to perfection with mushy peas and onion rings. Fantasti value for money.. We also have breakfast there on a regular basis. We can not recommend Leslie's highly enough. Leslie is great to chat to . Cant wait until our next visit.

My name is Kenneth, and I am adicted to cooked breakfast Wherever I go, I check out Trip Advisor for the best cooked breakfasts. Knowing that I would be spending two weeks near Skibbereen, I decided to check out Leslie 's Cross Road Diner. What a breakfast! Everything you see in the picture included in the €8.50 price. Really tasty sausages, homemade chips (I think they were included because it was nearly lunch time and enough toast for a family of four! And enough butter for even the worst cholesterol junkie! Checking the reviews, I noticed that the fish and chips was very highly regardedb so I returned a few days later. However, there was a dilemma. Should I have cod or haddock? Deciding on the cod, I received a large cod fillet, fried in a light batter. The fish was very moist and succulent; the portion of handmade chips was much larger than expected (or necessary . So I had sampled the Full Irish Breakfast and the Cod and Chips. Finding myself once more in Skibbereen, it was back to the Cross Roads (it 's a roundabout, actually for the Haddock and Chips. Now, fried fish is a personal thing; personally, I 'd say the haddock had the edge on the cod. Can I recommend this place? Absolutely! No frills or fancies, but fine Irish food served fast.

This is a diner/takeaway on the road to Tragumna. It is an ideal place to stop if you want to grab something to eat without fuss. It is clean and the food is as you would expect from a diner but perhaps a little better. Leslie himself is most pleasant. It is perhaps better known as a takeaway but you can sit here and relax over your food also. The chip portions are generous particularly to take away. The menu is quite extensive and well priced.

Great breakfast exactly what you want from a small cafe brilliant and really cost effective. The take away is also amazing the best chips ever made for real potatoes not frozen.....we all love it. It's a family business which I always think makes a big difference owners are lovely and so are the staff. Thank you For you honest good food!! Zeta Kearney

We visited as a wee after school treat for the kids as we've been previously and really enjoyed the food. Same again this visit, excellent meal, just the right size for the kids. Freshly cooked and tasty. Excellent value and service as well. We'll be back.
