Bidrage med feedbackHad a great meal here! We tried the Khmer Fish Salad, the prestigious fish Amok, the grilled eggplant and the roasted morning vine. The verdict: absolutely filled, but also absolutely satisfied. So if you are in delicious food served in nice settings by very friendly staff The Sugar Palm could be your thing. Oh, and if you end up here, you should definitely try her local incubator!

Husband randomly picked a restaurant close to our hotel that had good reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. As soon as you reach the entrance, it is very welcoming with staff greeting us at the door and a nice outside garden with seatings. We opted to seat inside with the fans. The inside is absolutely gorgeous. Spacious large restaurant, big bar and a small lounge area. The menu is great, each dish has a corresponding picture so we knew what everything looked like. We got the chicken banana blosson salad, prawn amok, pan fried snakehead fish with garlic sauce and a pork ribs kor ko soup. Food is served with white rice. Salad was very yummy. Very refreshing. The salad dressing was so good. Wasn't overly sweet or sour. Very well balanced. The prawns amok reminds me of my fav Thai dish which is a steam curry fish in Banana leaf. It was very good. The flavors and texture were so good. The Pan Fried snakehead fish was a surprisingly my fav of the night. Lightly tempura fried and even when doused with sauce, it kept its crunch. It was perfectly cooked. Tasted so fresh and tender. The delicious garlic sauce wasn't over powering the fish. Really nice balanced dish. The Kor Ko Soup is very good. Thick and almost overflowing with ingredients. Although it was yummy, I was feeling too hot to drink/eat it all. Overall we really enjoyed our dinner here. The staff was friendly and courteous. We would recommend this place. Our bill came to $40 USD including a small bottle of water and a large Angkor Beer. I think on the pricier side for Siem Reap but definitely reasonable for the quality of food. Tho I'd skip dessert. The kaffir lime ginger creme caramel was a bit disappointing.
The food here is incredible. The setting is lovely and the service kind, attentive, and gracious we one would expect in Siem Reap. The Fish Amok is absolutely incredible. Creamy, flavorful, and the fish perfectly cooked. The chicken satay is juicy, the pomelo salad is fresh and perfectly sour/sweet, and the stirfried vegetables and fresh, crisp, and flavored very well
