Pizzeria Il Centro - SESTRIERE

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel and had lunch here 4 times whilst skiing in Sestriere for the week. Food exceptional- and do both pizza and pasta at lunchtime and even prepared dishes off menu. Quite a small place and situated at the end of a small enclosed shopping centre. Please persevere to find this place. Really friendly and helpful staff and will always pour a large glass of wine to go with the wonderful food.

Very unfriendly staff. Gave away our booked table when we arrived a few minutes late and asked us to leave the restaurant when we asked if we could wait for a new table. Horrible experience. Would never recommend.

Whilst skiing in the area, it was very hard to find vegan options that were clearly marked which is why it was nice to find somewhere that did mark it on their menu (perhaps only on the Italian one). I ordered the polenta with mushrooms which was a little bland and perhaps it would have been nicer to have a pizza without cheese but I wanted to try something different. I also ordered the farinata which was tasty but unfortunately only the plain one was vegan. I guess the rating of 3 stars is just a reflection of how low the bar is in the area.
