Bidrage med feedbackI think, I have never ever experienced such a waiter’s rudeness as in this restaurant. I even can’t be objective about the food when you had such an experience. It was impossible to call the waiter even we had empty tables around. He would look into your eyes when you’re waiving and just would go away to do his stuff (God knows what). Nor saying “wait a minute, I’ll come”, nothing! WTF, you think! I’ll try to be objective about food which wasn’t terrible but also wasn’t worth the price you pay. I especially didn’t like shrimps (gambas) that had to be with a garlic source but it was with a kind of “francesinha” sauce with heavy toasts with cheese on it. Basically, it ruined the dish that I would eat in other places in Portugal “gambas ao alho”. And in the end the bill was quite big. So never again. The only one advantage the have that they are open and serve dinner late (we ate around 22.00 o’clock) when the most of the places are closed.
This restaurant embodies all that is deplorable about dinning in the Porto area. Highly overpriced starters that no one asked for is still tradition; a bill that is wrong and in excess; and a waiter that yells at other waiters. Very relaxing... While some of the food was good (the main course was fish fillets and it was good more on this topic below), the starters we didn 't order but still had were forgetful. Salpicao was just the worst you can probably have in the entire country. Gambas (giant shrimp) were actually disgusting. Getting back to the fish fillets: if you 're planning on sharing this meal, don 't. These are served at exactly one per person while its price would serve up to 5 anywhere else in the city. To sum up, coming here made us feel in stress (waiter), hungry (one miserable fillet) and cheated (bill). In a city of 1000s of restaurants don 't waste your precious time with this one.
Bad service no professionals missing your order... too much time spended the waiter was gone awway No, no more Mauritania
We ordered “arroz de marisco” for 4 persons and were very disappointed.. we got a lot of frozen shrimps In the rice and few good pieces of other seafood which are supposed to be included in the dish. Nothing in the meal was special..from the starters/ soup till the dessert. In addition, it is an e pensive restaurant. Don’t recommend.
We walked in here, after it being recommended by our host in Porto. We were shown to our table nice and promptly, and then presented with menu's in English...all top notch up to now. Then, after ordering we really struggled to find a member of staff who understood English unbelievable in a country like Portugal and facing the seafront in a resort), we were given a plate of what I think are fishballs, tasted nice too. Also a basket of mixed breads, and a small plate of butter sachets. Then the mean and I have to say the food was excellent, as can be seen from the attached photos all washed down with a bottle of water, and a bottle of green wine. When the meal was over, we decided on saving a coffee for elsewhere as we wanted to walk the promenade as the sun set. So, we paid our bill, and left. As we walked along the beautiful promenade we started to investigate the bill, which has a copy also enclosed to this report. And I can only express disgust at their practise of how they place those fish balls etc on the table, without explaining that they are NOT complimentary. Reading the Tripadvisor page pertaining to this premises, I am aware they read reports. Well, can I say here and now,. that what You are doing at the beginning is very underhanded. And know something? It's a real pity, as our 3 main courses were really good. But due to what You did at the beginning, I can only say You deserve no credit, which is a pity.
