Schloessli - Seewis im Praettigau

Family get together, great food nice presentation and well seasoned. I do find that the menu was very large... the selection is to much ... but quality of food was excellent and we will back again .

We ate here twice while we were in town for the Alp Spektakel. Both meals were very good. I had the pumpkin soup and meat and cheese plate for the first meal .. very good. The second meal was cheese Speatzle mit Gemuse which was excellent... I loved it. A light sheesh sauce on dumplings with small pieces of carrot. The best thing was the friendly staff and the awesome view of the mountains. We sat outside and if you get chilly they will give you a blanket. We spoke with our waitress for quite some time she was very nice. On our other visit we chatted with a couple from Zurich who were eating stuffed cabbage that looked awesome. The people in the area are very friendly and happy to have visitors. This is a small town . We thoroughly enjoyed participating in this Swiss harvest festival. Seeing the cow procession was a delight. If you visit Switzerland in October and want to be immersed in local culture visit during the Alp Spektakel which will be posted online.

At nearly 1,000m above sea level Seewis benefits from a sunny location and offers a fantastic panorama over the surrounding mountains. Please note that the restaurant is called Schlössli, but is located within Hotel Scesaplana. It is a recently opened restaurant which combines traditional Swiss food and genuine hospitality. The modern and bright dining room called Panorama room boasts scenic views over the mountains. Needless to say: everything 's spotlessly clean. Thumbs up to the waitresses for the very friendly service during the entire lunch. As starter I chose the salad with gratinéed goat cheese simple and tasty. This was followed by a classic Cordon Bleu of veal. As dessert I had the Coupe Winterdream a generous and delicious portion of vanilla ice cream and...poached apple ice cream (original but delicious flavour! Despite the great location, prices remain at Swiss standard level. Including wine and coffee the bill amounted to CHF85.

Wir wollten auf der schönen Terrasse einen Apéro geniessen 17.15h. Eine eher unfreundliche Dame an der Reception wies uns darauf hin, dass sie bereits geschlossen hätten. Kein Bedauern, kein ‚gerne ein anderes Mal‘ nichts. Wir haben neuerdings ein Feriendomizil in der Nähe. Werden wohl eher nicht für ein Nachtessen zurückkehren. Schade! Nach der coronabedingten Durststrecke hätten wir etwas mehr Enthusiasmus erwartet.
