San Martin Ristoro - SEDICO

Di passaggio verso la montagna ci siamo fermati in questo locale per un pranzo veloce....che però non è stato poi tanto veloce.I piatti sono veramente ottimi nulla da dire : porchetta sublime,ottimi i cappellacci come le pappardelle ai finferli, purtroppo il servizio non è stato il massimo , complice il fatto di aver trovato posto al piano superiore letteralmente dimenticato da tutti, un vero peccato visto il posto simpatico e il cibo ottimo,rovinato dalla lunga attesa.Un consiglio anche se ci sono poche persone al tavolo superiore ricordatevi di loro.

Non andiamo spesso ma di sicuro questa volta abbiamo mangiato meno bene delle altre. Patate troppe pepate e cacio e pepe con poco pepe. Davvero un pò deluso rispetto ad altre volte e prezzi un pò troppo alti per il tipo di piatto che viene servito. Riguardatevi

After a 12 day tour of Italy, where my family an I ate enough Italian food for 4 families, we found ourselves traveling from outside Bolzano to our plane home from Venice. We needed one last meal before we got on the plane. We just happened by this little place on the side of the road and stopped in. As usual, I ordered the carbonara (my 6th plate of the trip which took us through Rome, Verona, Bolzano, and Venice . I was not expecting what I got. This was the best pasta I had ever had, and I have been all over. The carbonara was made with farm fresh eggs, so it was bright yellow. The spek was salty and fatty and perfect. The simplicity of the dish was such you could taste all the ingredients individually yet relish in the mixture of the dish. I usually do not do this, but I ran into the chef and told him all of this. He was flattered and, as this was a small local place, brought his dad over (who was there visiting I guess , and had me repeat what I said to him. So funny! My wife had the eggplant parmesan, and said it was divine (but this is my review, so I will not go into that as I do not like eggplant... . The kids had butter noodles because, of course that is what kids order when they are in a spectacular restaurant in an amazing country (if you do not have any, kids are dumb and only eat pizza . Food was absolutely delicious. Great hospitality. Sara was amazing with us. Family feeling which I absolutely love. Will be back when I go by either for work or pleasure.

This is our second visit and both were excellent, this goes for the service and the food. However the first time the weather was warm and sunny and sitting outside was special, surrounded by mountains. Next time you are on your way from Venezia through Belluno to the Dolomiti, slow down and stop at this charming Bar Ristoro.
