Cricket's - Sayville

I hate to have to write this poor review, but let me start by saying that I have been a customer of Crickets for over 30 years. Sometimes, I 'll sit at the bar, but never has Linda been my server. She was absolutely diabolical! A complete and total wretch. Extremely rude and a downright angry human being. I started by ordering the usual, and I recognized that she was new to waiting on me so the drink didn 't come as I usually get it, but didn 't complain and when she asked, I said it 's fine, but for the next one, shaken and in a martini glass please . She obviously took offense to that and went on to explain how I didn 't specify glass type and shaken with ice, etc ', but in all these years I never had to go into such detail unless asked at Crickets. After all, it 's a martini without vermouth and garnish. I remained quiet and content. When I finished with my drink, Linda asked me if I wanted another. And since she made it a point on how I should specify ', I politely aske itd her to shake and serve into a martini glass. She abruptly stopped me and exclaimed I know what you want! Upon Linda 's abrupt and viscous outburst, I was turned off to continuing my lunchtime at Crickets and asked for the check after telling her how completely unprofessional and rude her treatment of me had been. I warned her that I would take to social media and her boss, Peter, to alert them of her extremely poor treatment of me, a longstanding customer. How completely shameful of her to behave so disgustingly. I have a picture of her that I would be happy to upload here if possible. Other servers are phenomenal the food is very nice and always fresh. It 's an iconic little spot, as far as I 'm concerned. And I will enjoy going there, as long as it 's not on Tuesday, when Linda isn 't 't working the bar.

Have been going for at least 20 years.the owner and his family are stand up people.His food is good and fairly priced. His staff is helpfull and courteous A really nice neighborhood place.I have had many good meals in a pleasant atmosphere

This place I’ve been coming to for years with Marylin Ernie Kussmaul. They were the ones who introduced this place to me and today my husband I introduced this place to my in laws. We were satisfied with the service and food and they look forward to coming again.

This isn't the kind of pace that you go, hoping to stick to your diet. Crickets serves comfort food, which is delicious and hits the spot. Like everyone else said, it's a locals spot, and a Sayville staple. The fish and chips are delicious, but I can't stop ordering the Turkey Melt recently! This is extremely family friendly, and affordable. We have a great time coming here!
