You feel well right now, in this house where we came only for lunch. and a little fast, in addition, due to a visit to the train of the rhune. a deliciously cooked lobster of lobsters, a beef of tenderness and exquisite taste, accompanied by delicately scented small potatoes, "half portions" for children and an excellent red wine recommended by the waitress. Smile, efficiency. all in an idyllic setting where you dream of returning to nap in the shade of the big trees. A delight.
I have known this restaurant for about 10 years and I had kept an excellent memory of its particularities: family service (fake-handed, jean at service, mama at deco) in the family home with at the beginning a unique and surprising menu depending on the mood of the chef; Excellent! Today there are 2 or 3 choices and it is always excellent. Then we finally organized our wedding in April 2017 and to be short, everything was perfect: from service so discreet and yet so efficient to the excellent meal through the frame that gives the impression of being home but better and the incredible environment. this evening was unanimous and remains a very strong memory beyond the event. and if you want a horse ride to perfect digestion, the third brother will take care of it.
A restaurant in the back country of biarritz. a beautiful green setting (even if you enjoy less at night as soon as the night falls.) the seasonal discovery menu is very good (the gamba portion is not very copier, but then the meat dishes are all very good. I recommend the braised calf cheek that melts in the mouth. Very good service.
We were three couples who had decided to celebrate the holy valentine together. After a warm welcome, we discovered the beautiful setting of this Basque family home, tastefully decorated. The proposed menu was both varied and extremely tasteful. In particular, I chose a lean (fish) at the plancha, the finest and creamy I've ever eaten! the desert was aerial (pearle cover!) short, perfect, for a little over 50€, wine included. The house fat also gites.
A little must be searched for this noble and old house where three brothers share the work, one in the room, the other in the furnaces (the third holds the nearby equestrian center). On the vast ground floor, on several levels (the land is on the slopes), one discovers a large central room on which the gallery of the first allows access to the rooms. around, several lounges including a beautiful library, a large dining room, and in parallel a large covered terrace where meals are usually held in the summer in any case. the whole is filled with antique furniture, sometimes very beautiful pieces...the table is erected with a simple elegance, silverware covers, plates in Gien. Our host simply announces the map of the day, that evening 4 admissions, 4 courses, 4-5 desserts, and alas it is necessary to choose, because everything is delicious!The dishes are generous, made with research, without however strange association...We have tasted "the egg" and the tartare of trout in entry, the lamb of milk and different fish, several desserts: almost all deserve a macaron!
