Gitchigoomie Grill - Sandusky

This place is a bit tricky. Breakfast was not good. Stiff pancakes, rubbery eggs, salmon bagels less than fresh. Dinner was quite good and delicious! Burgers are excellent! Pasta dishes also excellent! Well made drinks from the bar! So... I give 1 star for breakfast and 5 stars for dinner. Which should equate to 3 stars overall. But, I'm feeling generous because of the excellent bar cocktails!

We had dinner and then breakfast at Gitchigoomie. Both were awesome. Our waitress at dinner was super friendly (Alexis) and our food was delicious. We did the fish and chips, which was light and flaky, and the bbq platter with chicken, ribs and smoked sausage, which were all flavorful and super tender. Both kids had spaghetti and they loved the pasta and the meatballs. We liked the family style breakfast, too. It’s all little pricy, but for the convenience of not leaving the lodge and getting great food, it was with it.

Surprisingly good. Meals are not cheap but everything we had was delicious. We carried out and the meal was ready on time!
