Whole Foods Market - San Rafael

I have found this to be one of the more meaty grocery stores in the area, and I am also not delighted with their selection of vegetable meat substitutes. Tends at overprice, but some of their products is a good and good quality.

The number of vegan options, especially for breakfast, have basically disappeared. And cross-contamination of meat and cheese is a serious problem. There is a mixed bar everywhere, and it's a choice that vegans need to make, but I feel like they won't even try. Too bad I used to spend a ton of money on the hot bar...

Even the cheapest Whole Foods stores are overpriced, but this is aimed at the stars. For basics, most of us would be better when shopping at Trader Joe's across the street, which offers a reasonable selection of organic products and Veg*n articles at far lower prices. But for whatever TJ is not in stock (e.g. exotic products), WF is nearby and like to take your money.
