Bidrage med feedbackGood service, cozy atmosphere, and delicious pizzas! We shared one wood-fired pepperoni pizza. The crust was fluffy yet crispy. There was plenty of cheese, and the pepperonis were crispy with herbal flavors. The tomato sauce tasted incredibly fresh, with visible bits of mashed tomatoes. We didn't have high expectations because the restaurant is in a touristy area, but we were impressed. We can't wait to try the other pizzas! Prices are on the higher end, of course.
I have been craving a delicious pizza for over a month now, and I even went to Italy and on the off chance only had okay pizzas. Even my favorite go-to pizza place in the Castro has been disappointing. HOWEVER, this place HIT THE SPOT. Good date atmosphere but also had a lot of families in there when we went. Server checked on us often. Food came out fast. Dessert was okayyy. I would probably try someplace else in the ferry building for the sweet stuff but I am close by so will definitely be back for pizza.
Came here for a team dinner after planning and it was nice! Service was attentive for our large party and the long communal tables worked well for our setup. Margherita Pizza: this was solid! I'm not enough of a pizza connoisseur to critique the ins and outs of a pizza unless it's incredibly good or incredibly bad. This was definitely on the good end with a light, crispy, and chewy crust, a good amount of sauce, and good cheese. They add burrata, which I love. Musa Pizza: this was solid as well, but not quite what we expected. It's more like a Mediterranean flatbread than a pizza because there is no underlying sauce, instead a spiced lamb puree on top of the crust (the puree is a bit coarse, which I prefer) drizzled with white sauce. I appreciate them mixing things up, and I love Mediterranean flavors so I thought this was good and definitely more filling than a standard pizza. Ginger Roll Cake: really lovely and inventive. I feel like ginger desserts aren't all that popular outside of gingerbread and people build with it more than eat it if that tells you anything but I think it's such an amazing and sophisticated flavor for something sweet! So love that they leaned in on the ginger, and the actual roll cake was nice and fluffy. I feel this dessert would be such a cute tea time treat. Walnut Cake: I thought this would be a hit for me because I love dense and rich desserts, but while this was dense, it was not rich. Honestly a bit dry and crumbly. The flavor was good though. Olive Oil Cake: some of my team members really loved this, but I was a bit let down honestly. My first note, again, is texture. For a cake with oil in the name, I expected quite a bit of richness, but this was barely richer than a sponge. My second note is the lack of olive oil flavor. I kind of would like to be punched in the face with it, but, again, this tasted more like a sponge. The cream and fruit on the side were lovely though. Overall, Boulettes Larder is a solid option if you are looking for interesting eats in the Ferry Building.
Wonderful lunch with my grandson. We shared the delicious thyme sautéed mushroom pizza and the Circassian chicken salad.
Spoke with the manager. She couldn't care less. Can't change the past she said. No sincere apology and just seemed annoyed of the negative review. Maybe pick up the phone and train your staff to be polite and not kick people out of a chair that has disability and maybe you won't get bad reviews
